Top Inspos for the Book Boyfriends
Are you sitting there reading and trying to wrap your brain around what the hero looks like?
I try to branch out for what my heroes look like, otherwise, they will all look like Peter Steele from Type O Negative.
I’ve had a type my entire life: the quintessential tall, dark, and handsome. I try really hard for all my heroes not to be the same.
Admittedly, I fail at this.
Yes, I draw from a somewhat limited pool of inspiration. But they all fit my literary needs, I see no reason to branch out.
I’ll shut up now and get to the list:

Peter Steele
If the character has long black hair, this is what I’m thinking
The man had cheek bones that would give you a paper cut. He was 6’8” and had a yummy deep singing voice. And black hair halfway down his back
He was the lead singer for Type O Negative.
Henry Cavill, Hugh Jackman, Richard Armitage
They all fit a the tall, dark, and handsome with curly hair model. If you could blend these three that’s my *chef’s kiss* perfect hero look.
With a range of musculature from super fit to fully jacked, if you can conjure up these guys while reading, you aren’t wrong.

Travis Fimmel, Alexander Skarsgaard
The blondes. I know that sounds terrible, but these are faces and the builds for every blond hero I’ve written.
Honorable mention for the blonds include Dolph Lundgren and Charlie Hunnam.

Jason Momoa
He’s hitting the more wild man vibes when it comes to certain characters. Plus, he’s fun.

Brendan Fraser
When I need a character with old-school Hollywood appear, I admit that Brendan is my go-to guy.
He fits such a variety of looks from his wilder George of the Jungle to a more classic look from the Mummy.
Michael B. Jordan
The B stands for Bae, I see no reason to explain further.
To the girl who bite her retainer in half during Black Panther: same.
…and the slutty little glasses, swoon.

Yungblud, Charlie Sexton
And when I write about skinny rocker boys with dark hair and eyeliner, and a mouth made for singing,
you need to think of these guys.

What do you do when your imaginary friends start pestering you with images of sexy male strippers and hot were-shifters? You write stories about them. Well, that's what I did! Oh, and then I combine them and toss them in a kilt for good measure!
