You don’t choose the berserker life. The berserker life chooses you.
High fantasy crashes into reality when magic portals allow creatures from video game realms into this world.
Modern day followers of Odin, and gamer Vikings—Vik, Wolf, and Scottie— get caught in the cross hairs of magic and technology, forcing them to shift into their gaming avatars’ berserker forms.
Magic and cosplay come together in this three-story romance collection.
Cosplay takes on a whole new meaning when Viking gamers have the power to shape shift.
Bear: After challenging him on the true meaning of his Viking marks, Vik invites the feisty Aaliyah to come see what his tattoos really mean, only realizing too late, that he may have put her in danger.
Wolf: Unbeknownst to Yeardley, she’s about to walk into battle, figuratively and literally. In an epic maneuver sure to go down in con history, Yeardley offers up a programmer smack down. While still riding that adrenaline high her skills are put to the test as she is thrown into another smack down, this time of fantasy proportions.
Boar: When Maisie gets kidnapped by a very real orc, Scottie rushes in. Now they are both trapped inside the video game realm. They have to work together to stay alive, and hope their friends can rescue them. Only Maisie doesn’t want to return to the real world if it means losing Scottie’s affection.

As she made her way toward the bank, something slithered along the side of her leg. She didn’t gasp, this time she screamed and jumped.
Scottie turned.
She froze as he looked at her.
“Oh my God, turn around,” she screamed.
“Why are you screaming?” Scottie asked as he obliged and spun putting his back to her.
“There’s something in the water.”
“Of course, there is. It’s full of fish.”
“I’m not fish food.”
She ran up to the bank and got behind him putting her hands on his waist so she knew that he could not turn to look at her. “Don’t look Oh, my God, close your eyes.”
He turned, and she stayed behind him.
“Fine.” Scottie’s tone was laced with exasperation.
“I need you to turn around and put your hands over your eyes. I don’t trust you.”
“Seriously Maisie, what are you so afraid of?”
“I don’t want you to see me naked.” She didn’t want him to be repulsed.
“Too late. Is that your underwear?”
“Yes, the fish can have them.”
Scottie sighed. “I’ll go in and get them for you.”
“No, no you don’t have to. I don’t need them anymore.”
“Maisie, you’re being ridiculous. You will be miserable without your underwear.”
“Then close your eyes.”
“I’m not going to wade into a creek with my eyes closed.”
“But I don’t want you to see my underwear.”
Scottie made a series of frustrated sounds as he stepped into the water. He scooped her underwear from the water. He didn’t understand what the big deal was, they were cotton, they were pink. They were hers.
